The presentation titled “Theoretical and Experimental Nonlinear Absorption Studies in Presence of High Energy Materials: A Case Study of Zn Phthalocyanine,” by P.T. Anusha, L. Giribabu, S. Venugopal Rao presented at HEMCE 2014, 9th International High Energy Materials Conference and Exhibit, 13-15 February 2014, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has won the BEST ORAL presentation award.


P T Anusha

Ms. Anusha P T has been working under the supervision of Dr. S. Venugopal Rao, Associate Professor, Advanced Center for Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM) at UoH from 2010 onwards. Her research area is focused on ‘Ultrafast dynamics of advanced organic materials using picoseconds and femtosecond laser pulses’ which include the light matter interaction in ultrafast time domain. These materials are being used in dye sensitized solar cells, optical limiting and sensing high energy materials.

Ms. Anusha has seven international publications which include Applied Physics Letters, Chemical Physics Letters, Material Letters, Organic Letters, Journal of Physical Chemistry C etc. Her work has been recognized as excellence in poster presentation in OSI symposium 2010 @ IIT Delhi and best paper award in HEMCE 2014 @VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram. She has the honour of serving the position of President for OSA (Optical Society of America)-HCU Student Chapter in 2013-14.
