The MMTTC, University of Hyderabad (UoH), proudly concluded its Valedictory Function of the Capacity Building Programme in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) for Telangana Faculty, funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which took place from February 17th to 22nd, 2025.

 

This enriching programme saw enthusiastic participation from the faculty members representing a diverse range of government and private colleges across Telangana.

 

The event was honored with the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, with Prof. B.J. Rao, Vice Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, presiding as the Chief Guest. Dr. Gopi Chand Merugu, Joint Secretary of the UGC, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, while Dr. Devesh Nigam, Registrar of the University of Hyderabad, attended as the Special Guest.

 

The programme was coordinated by Dr. R. Krishnaiah and Prof. J. Madhusudhan from the Department of Educational Technology (DEET), ensuring its smooth execution.

 

This event marked the conclusion of this year’s IKS initiative, which has received positive feedback from participants, underscoring its impact on enhancing faculty knowledge and teaching skills related to Indian Knowledge Systems.

 

The initiative was thoughtfully curated under the leadership of Prof. P. Prakash Babu, Director of MMTTC. Incidentally, this is the last programme for the year 2024-2025 and for Prof. Prakash Babu, as the Director, who has been relieved of his duties at MMTTC to take up another significant assignment as the Vice Chancellor of Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa.

 

His visionary leadership has been instrumental in the meticulous planning and successful execution of the programme, which was well-received by the participants.

The event has set a strong foundation for future endeavours in promoting and preserving Indian Knowledge Systems, contributing to the growth and development of academic excellence across Telangana and beyond.
