The NSS Cell, University of Hyderabad organised a cleanup programme at white rocks on 16 September 2023 in coordination with the Sanitation and Horticulture department. It was the third consecutive weekend programme under this clean-up drive.
The volunteers and workers of the Sanitation and Horticulture department collected the plastic water bottles, bags, glass bottles, and their broken pieces. The NSS Cell observed that it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain the campus neat and clean. The white rocks in the campus are a beautiful sight that attracts the parents also, who visit the University during the time of admissions as well as those who visit their children pursuing courses in various departments in the University.
Once again, the Coordinator, NSS and the NSS volunteers urged the members of the university community who visit the rock not to indulge in such activities spoiling the beautiful sight of the place, by littering it with glass bottles, water bottles, and plastic bags, which are prohibited on the campus.
