Communication Alumni secure admissions to doctoral programmes in the United States

Ms. Poulami Seal and Mr. Kondam Nikhil Reddy, MA Communication (Media Studies) Class of 2022, have secured admissions to doctoral programmes in the United States for the upcoming Fall 2023 semester.

Poulami Seal

Poulami has accepted her admission to the Ph.D. programme in the Department of Communication at Georgia State University, Atlanta, with a teaching and research assistantship that includes a full tuition waiver and a stipend.

Kondam Nikhil Reddy

Nikhil has accepted his admission to Ph.D. in Mass Communication (Media Arts & Studies) at Ohio University, Athens, with a teaching assistantship that includes a tuition waiver and a stipend.

The Department of Communication at University of Hyderabad, among the top-ranked departments in the country, offers two M.A. programmes in Communication – one with specialisation in Media Practice and the other in Media Studies. Graduates from the latter tend to pursue higher education or seek careers in research, the social sector, or in a range of communication/media organisations like the Media Practice graduates.
