The NSS Cell, University of Hyderabad (UoH) celebrated the 75th Indian Constitution Day on November 26, 2024. The event was held at the NSS office premises, where Mrs. Prerna Akhouri, Training and Placement Officer of the Placement Cell, and Dr. B. Krishnaiah, NSS Coordinator at UoH, paid floral tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar by garlanding his photograph.
NSS volunteers also joined in honouring Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. During the event, Dr. B. Krishnaiah spoke about the significant role played by Dr. Ambedkar in ensuring constitutional provisions for the upliftment of Dalits and marginalized communities in India.
He highlighted Ambedkar’s vision of promoting equality among citizens through the principles of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.
Dr. Krishnaiah urged the gathering to utilize the opportunities provided by the government, pursue personal success, and contribute to society in line with Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals. Mr. Rahul, the NSS student coordinator, Venkatadas and Abhilash also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the relevance of Constitution Day and the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
