A three member delegation from the Arizona State University (ASU), USA visited the Office for the International Affairs (OIA), University of Hyderabad (UoH) on April 19, 2023.

The delegation included Dr. Brett Duarte, Clinical Associate Professor, W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, Co-Director MSBA, Co-Director Supply Chain Executive Consortium (SCEC), Mr. Holly Singh, Associate Vice President, International Students & Scholars Center at ASU and Ms. Paige Baker, Assistant Director, Graduate Student Recruitment, W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU.

They held discussion with Prof. Chetan Srivastava, Director, OIA and Prof. Alok K Mishra, Associate Director, OIA and explained the possible areas for collaboration.

Prof. Chetan gave a detailed description of the internationalisation being implemented by the University of Hyderabad and discussed about the various areas for collaboration.

Later, Dr. Brett Duarte gave a lecture titled ‘Supply Chain Resilience & the Role of the Decision Scientist’ to the students at the School of Management Studies and also interacted with them. The talk was attended by the students, scholars from Management Studies, Engineering and Computer Science.

Prof. Chetan welcomed the delegates at the School of Management Studies (SMS) and introduced the speaker and spoke on the role and importance of supply chain management, technology in SCM, global SCM and on India’s global SCM since times immemorial.

Prof. V. Mary Jessica, Dean, SMS welcomed the delegates and gave an introduction of the School and explored the possible areas for collaboration, exchange and research. The delegates also had an interaction with the faculty members of the Management Studies. Mr. Holly Singh spoke about the Arizona State University and avenues of collaboration. Prof. Ashwin Nangia, Dean, School of Chemistry also attended the talk.
