A delegation of fourteen International Education Administrators (IEA) from Universities in the US visited the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Monday, March 18, 2019. They were part of the two-week seminar program conducted by the United States – India Educational Foundation (USIEF), New Delhi, during 9-24 March, 2019.
The purpose of the visit was to provide the US higher education administrators first-hand knowledge of the higher education sector in India and to enable them to make better informed decisions with regard to potential academic and institutional collaborations in India. Professor Arun Agarwal, Pro-Vice-Chancellor-1 welcomed the delegation and made a presentation about the University. This was followed by Professor Ananthakrishnan, Director, Study in India Program (SIP) and Professor Aparna Rayaprol, Director, International Affairs who made presentations on the academic activities of SIP and International Affairs. During the tea break, the members interacted with the students of the University as well as SIP.
The delegation concluded the visit to the University with a tour of the campus and a visit to S.N.School of Arts and Communication where they were shown the Community Radio Station, Bol Hyderabad and the Video Production facility.
