Dr. Bibekananda Panda, an alumnus of the School of Economics (MA- 2005-07), University of Hyderabad (UoH) is awarded the prestigious Diamond Jubilee & CH Bhabha Banking Overseas Research Fellowship (DJCHBBORF) for the year 2020-21 by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). He will be working on the research topic “Asymmetric Information and Market Failure in Bank – NBFC Co-Lending Model”. Dr. Bibekananda, is currently Assistant General Manager (AGM) & Economist in the State Bank of India, Hyderabad.

About IIBF Fellowship:
The Diamond Jubilee Banking Overseas Research Fellowship (DJBORF) was instituted by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance in 1988 to commemorate its Diamond jubilee year. The CH Bhabha Fellowship offered by the Indian Banks’ Association was merged with the DJBORF in 2007-08 and known as the Diamond Jubilee and CH Bhabha Banking Overseas Research Fellowship (DJCHBBORF). The objective of the Fellowship is to provide the successful candidate an opportunity to visit overseas to undertake a research study on the latest developments in the field of banking and finance in India.
