Dr. Bikku Rathod appointed as Assistant Professor in SRM University

Dr.Bikku, an alumnus of the University of Hyderabad has joined SRM University, Andhra Pradesh, as Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS), SRM University AP. Dr.Bikku obtained his M.A, M. Phil, and Ph.D. degrees in Anthropology, from the Department of Anthropology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad. He did Ph.D. Hyderabad under the supervision of Prof. M. Romesh Singh and Prof. K. K. Misrain 2017.

After his doctoral research, he has joined as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Anthropology, University College London (UCL), London, United Kingdom, under the mentors of Prof. Katherine Homewood and Dr. Jerome Lewis (2018-2021). His postdoctoral research focuses on “Nomadic Pastoral groups and Environment”.

Dr.Bikku has been trained in social and cultural anthropology and his main research interest areas include Environmental anthropology, Religion and Environment, Nomadic peoples, Tribes in India, Globalization and Climate Change.
