The University of Hyderabad condoles the recent passing away of Dr. E Rama Reddy former Librarian on 30th January, 2024. He served the University from 1978 to 2005. He also served the Satavahana University at Karimnagar as an Advisor to its library since 2015.
Prior to joining in University of Hyderabad, he served in the Osmania Medical College Library from October 1966 – January 1970, and the Osmania University Library from January 1970 –1978.
Awards: He was a recipient of the ILA-Kaula “Best Librarian Award 2003” conferred at 50th All India Library Conference at Baroda on December 1, 2004, “Prof. Gangadhar Rao Memorial Award, 2004” conferred by P.S. Telugu University, Hyderabad on December 28, 2004, “National Librarian 2004” award conferred by SATKAL Trust, Chandigarh on January 15, 2005 and the National Award of Chandigarh University as the Best Library Administrator.
