Dr. Monica Pandey, an alumnus of the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST), University of Hyderabad (UoH) was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Science and Technology at the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim. She was actively involved in research on developing various metal-metal oxide nanocomposites for controlling antimicrobial activity. She joined SEST to pursue Ph.D. after completing her B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) from Sardar Beant Singh State University, Punjab. She completed her Ph.D. with excellence under the supervision of Dr. Pradip Paik (former faculty of SEST) and Prof. M.G. Krishna (former acting Dean of SEST). Monica is a native of Rumtek, Sikkim, and has always wanted to serve her state, train local students, and guide them to pursue advanced research. Besides her interests in applied research, Dr. Pandey is interested in pedagogy and science communication.
