Dr. Sajudeen Nijamodeen Chapparban, an alumnus awarded with BAAS

Dr. Sajudeen Nijamodeen Chapparban, an alumnus of the Centre for Comparative Literature (CCL), School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been awarded the prestigious British Association of American Studies (BAAS) Conference Bursary. Dr. Chapparban, who completed his Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. J. Bheemaiah, is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Diaspora Studies at the Central University of Gujarat, Vadodara.

Dr. Sajudeen presented his paper in the panel titled “6C: Decolonizing the English Curriculum: American-Muslimah Literature” at the British Association of American Studies (BAAS) Annual Conference 2025, held during April 24-25, 2025 at the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

This recognition is a testament to the global impact of our alumni and the academic excellence nurtured at the University of Hyderabad.
