Dr. Soumyarup Banerjee, alumnus of MSc Mathematics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, UoH during 2011 to 2013 has been selected as an Assistant Professor at IIT Kharagpur. He went to the Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI), Allahabad for his PhD in 2013 and completed it in 2018 under the guidance of Prof. Kalyan Chakraborty. After doing postdoctoral research at the University of Hong Kong and IIT Gandhinagar, presently he is an INSPIRE faculty at the IISER, Kolkata.
