Dr. Srinivasarao Konda, an alumnus of the ACRHEM, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been appointed as an Assistant Professor Grade-I, at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar.

Dr. Srinivasarao, who completed his M. Tech (2008-2010) and Ph. D in Physics (2010-2016) from UoH, has made history by first alumnus from the ACRHEM in Physics to join an IIT as faculty. Before joining at IIT Ropar, he served as an Assistant Professor in GPL Photonics Laboratory, Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, China (Aug-2017to Nov 2024) and Postdoctoral fellow at American University of Sharjha (Nov-202- Feb 2025).

Dr. Srinivasarao completed his Ph. D under the supervision of Prof. A. K. Chaudhary, and during his Ph. D, he had the opportunity to present their indegeniosuly developed Photoacoustic cell in FION-2017 at the Rastrapathi Bhavan. Also, his Ph. D thesis got the “Best Thesis Award” in National Laser Symposium 25. These remarkable achievements are a testament to his hard work, dedication, and the strong academic foundation provided by the University of Hyderabad.
