Dr. Gracious M Temsen, Associate professor of Linguistics at Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies (CALTS), School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH) is elected as the most sought-after member of the Publications Committee of the Linguistic Society of India (LSI).

The LSI regularly brings out a quarterly journal, Indian Linguistics, which publishes articles and reviews in the area of language sciences. It is a recognition of her achievement in research and teaching in Linguistics.

Dr. Temsen is a trained Typologist and Generativist. She teaches generative syntax, descriptive and comparative linguistics. Her research focuses on Khasi and the languages of Northeast India.

It is a proud moment for CALTS as two of its faculty have managed to occupy prestigious positions in LSI, said Dr. Uma Maheshwar Rao who was earlier elected as the President of LSI.
