Prof. Appa Rao Podile, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has inaugurated Dr. Zakhir Hussain Lecture Hall Complex on December 20, 2017 on the University Campus in the presence of Prof. P Prakash Babu, Pro VC; Shri P Sardar Singh, Registrar, Deans, faculty and other officials from UoH and CPWD.
The building constructed by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) is a three storied building G+2 measuring about 5720 sqm/ plaza area around 4000 sqm. It consists of 100 & 200 seater class rooms with one conference hall and faculty rooms on the ground floor, 5 nos. of 100 seater, 1 no. of 200 seater class rooms on the first floor and 2 nos. of 100 seater and 1 no. of 200 seater class rooms on the second floor.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. App Rao congratulated all the concerned faculty coordinators of UPE II and the Engineering Division of UoH and the CPWD engineers and officials for their endless work in completing this building. He said that this was the dream project of former Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, who took initiation for construction of this building from the University Potential for Excellence (UPE II) budget.
