A total of 66 students of Class VIII of University of Hyderabad Campus School embarked on an exciting field trip to the archaeological sites located within the University of Hyderabad campus on 18-12-2024. The trip aimed to provide students with a hands-on experience of exploring historical sites and understanding the significance of archaeology in reconstructing the past.

During the trip, students observed various archaeological features, including pottery, megalithic sites, and architectural remains. They also learned about the historical context and significance of the sites. The interactive session with the field supervisor, Prof.K.P Rao  helped clarify doubts and provided valuable insights into the field of archaeology.

The main Objective was to familiarize students with the archaeological sites at UoH, understand the historical significance of the sites and to develop observational and analytical skills through hands-on experience.

The field trip to the archaeological sites at UoH was a valuable learning experience for the students. It not only provided them with hands-on experience but also sparked their curiosity and interest in history and archaeology. We hope to organize more such trips in the future to further enrich our students’ learning experience.
