Prof. C.H. Hanumantha Rao, Chancellor, University of Hyderabad (UoH), laid the foundation stone for the Academic and Administration Complex in the presence of Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. E Haribabu, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Mr. C P Mohan Kumar, Registrar, Dr. Ch. Venkateswara Rao, Controller of Examinations, Mr. T. Sidhardha Reddy, University Engineer, other faculty members and staff on Monday the 27th May, 2013. The new complex will come-up exactly opposite to the existing Administrative Building.

The proposed new Academic and Administration Complex measures close to 1,30,878 sq.ft and consists of ground floor with 4008 square metres (43,142 sft), first floor with 3697 square metres (39,794 sft), second floor with 3506 square metres (37,738 sft) and cafeteria with 948 square metres (10,204 sft). The building will have separate wings for Finance & Accounts, Registrar’s Office, Controller of Examinations and Engineering Section. The Complex will cost approximately Rs:31crores and is being funded by the University Grants Commission.

Later on Prof. Hanumantha Rao laid the foundation stone for the 40,000 sq. ft. Zakir Hussain Lectural Hall Complex. This groung plus two floor Complex is being funded from University with Potential for Excellence -UPE II Grant and will come-up beside the existing Sarvepally Radhakrishnan Lecture Hall Complex. This Complex will cost about Rs:18 crores.

The construction of the above complexes will be executed by the CPWD.
