The School of Economics at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) launched its Golden Jubilee Alumni Lecture Series, featuring Mr. Harinarayana Kompella, an alumnus from the first M.Phil. batch (1976-77) and former Chief General Manager of NMDC Limited on October 21, 2024. His lecture, titled “Learning Beyond Academics: A Perspective,” was complemented by insights from Ms. Divya Archana, a young achiever and MA Economics alumna from the 2020-21 batch, who spoke on “Beyond Specialization: How Multidisciplinary Learning Shapes Modern Careers.”
The lecture series is coordinated by the Alumni Cell of the University of Hyderabad and supported by the Institution of Eminence Directorate. Romil Negi, a second-year MA Economics student, introduced the dignitaries and welcomed the audience.
Dr. Krishna Reddy Chittedi, Associate Professor and SPOC of the Alumni Cell, warmly welcomed the alums.
Prof. R. Vijay, Dean of the School of Economics, and Prof. Debashis Acharya, Chairman of the Alumni Cell, shared their thoughts. The lectures were well-received, culminating in a lively question-and-answer session.
