IYF holds First world Cultural Festival of Hyderabad
International Youth Fellowship (IYF), an international youth organisation, organized its first World cultural festival of Hyderabad from 5th September 2013. The first session of this event took place at the University of Hyderabad (UoH). This International event is one of the its kind, where students are trained to acquire a strong heart and healthy mindset. In the session held at the University, Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, who was the chief guest, called upon the students to imbibe leadership qualities and service orientation towards society.
The session started with breath-taking performances of dance and music sung specially by by IYF’s own band Rio montana. The event showcased a variety of Spanish, Korean and Indian dance performed by the international dance team of IYF. The students of UoH witnessed a visual treat and the performances were thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.
The event concluded with its main event, the mind lecture addressed by Young Joon Park, the guest speaker from South Korea, who in simple words and stories held the hearts of the students .He started his lecture by introducing IYF, and shared the mind set of IYF, telling that it is the same as that of a parent, who willingly serve their children, loving them and caring for them, even going to the extent to sacrifice their lives for them.
The entire event was an eye opener for the students and the activities of IYF have been etched in their heart and mind.
