Mr. Nagaraju Gaddam, an alumnus of the M.Sc. Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences program (2019–2021) at the Centre for Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), University of Hyderabad has been awarded a fully funded doctoral research fellowship under the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Cofund Fellowship. He will be joining the renowned Future Data Experts for Europe program, which aims to train a new generation of experts in the complex cultural, organizational, environmental, technological, and political dynamics associated with Big Data applications.
This prestigious program will be hosted by the University of Bologna, Italy—one of the world’s oldest and most esteemed universities. Supported by the European Union, the fellowship provides a unique platform for high-impact research and collaboration. As part of the program, Mr. Gaddam will focus on his passion for climate studies, particularly in high-resolution urban climate modeling and hydro-meteorology, at the Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia “Augusto Righi” – Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna, Italy.
Mr. Gaddam completed his M.Sc. dissertation under the guidance of Prof. Karumuri Ashok. Following his master’s, he joined the Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore, where he worked in the National Supercomputing Mission project. He later served as a Meteorologist at the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) in New Delhi.
