A Two-Day National Workshop on Implementation of Reservation Policy in Central Universities is being organized at the University of Hyderabad on April 30-May 1, 2015.
This workshop being organized for the first time will focus on Reservation Policy implemented in Central Universities and dissemination of the operative principles for effective implementation of the government directives.
There will be live rendition on the following subjects during the National Workshop:- (1) Constitutional Provisions on Reservation Policy. (2) Definitions of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen and unreserved candidates (3) Concept of merit appointments, including promotions. (4) Concept of Backlog Reserved Carried Forward Unfilled Vacancies (5) Principles for Preparing and Maintaining New Reservation Registers and Reservation Roster Registers. (5-A) Mode of Recruitment and Promotions. (6) Various important dates for implementation of reservation orders in general and in Central Universities, in particular. (7) New Format for Reservation Register and Reservation Roster Register. (8) Verification of Caste Claim. (9) Role and Functions of Liaison Officer. (10) Role and Functions of National Commissions. (11) Role and Responsibilities of SC/ST Welfare Associations.
The Workshop will be held at University of Hyderabad from April 30th – May 1 st, 2015. The timings will be 10.00 am to 5.30 pm every day. Participation & Registration Fee: Rs. 500/- per person and Rs.1000/- for more than two officials from each institution.
