The NSS Volunteers of University of Hyderabad (UoH) are actively involved for the last three days in organizing special camps in the villages of Tellapur, Indranagar and Ambedkar nagar. On 4th December 2014 as part of their campaign, the volunteers organized a School Education Programme and cleaned the premises of the Government School located in Tellapur.
The NSS volunteers consisting of Ph.D, M.Phil and P.G. students of the university went to the government school in Tellapur and gave lessons to the children on moral values, health, perfect diet, hygiene etc. In addition they also helped the school students in subjects like Mathematics, Social Science and spoken English. Later the volunteers painted the walls of the school, cleaned the school ground and also helped in making a drainage system in the school.
On this occasion the NSS Coordinator of UoH, Dr. V. Srinivasa Rao said that the education in government schools helps us to find skilled Human Resource. He thanked the volunteers for the hard work being put in for the school and the children.
