Operation EyeSight Universal visits UoH for collaboration

Mr. Aly Bandali, President & CEO of Operation EyeSight Universal, Canada accompanied by Dr. Santosh Moses, Regional Manager – South Asia visited University of Hyderabad (UoH) to extend support for establishment of an Optometric Clinic at the School of Medical Sciences on the campus.

The team met Prof. Appa Rao Podile, Vice-Chancellor, UoH; Prof. Prakash Babu Panthini, Pro Vice-Chancellor & Dean in-charge, School of Medical Sciences and faculty of the School, Prof. Geeta Vemuganti ; Dr. Shamanna BR, Dr. Rishi Bhardwaj and Dr Nagaraju Konda.

The objective of the support is two-fold:

1) To help Optometry students learn practical skills.

2) To provide Eye-care for communities in and around the university campus.

Mr. Aly Bandali later presented a Cheque for Rs: 9,00,000/- to Prof. Appa Rao for setting up the Optometric Clinic.
