Prof. Bhangya Bhukya, Department of History, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been appointed as one of the members of the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) by the Government of Telangana and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Planning Department as Chairman.
TGDPS was established to function with various objectives, related to the preparation of disaster mitigation plans; Analyse climate change impacts; and one of the important objectives is ‘to conduct gap and growth analysis, carryout Pilot Projects and research in State’s economic and social sectors and carry out, modelling, making projections, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring to support short term and long-term planning in the State.
