Prof. Geeta K Vemuganti, Dean, School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been honoured to participate as a mentor in the 2025-2026 class of the Women’s Leadership Development Program which is an intensive program that requires a year-long commitment from May 2025 – May 2026.

About ARVO & Women’s Leadership Development Program

ARVO is the largest eye and vision research organization in the world. Their global membership includes nearly 12,000 researchers from over 60 countries.

Mission: ARVO advances research worldwide into understanding the visual system and preventing, treating and curing its disorders. The Women’s Leadership Development Program provides emerging women leaders within the ARVO membership a highly interactive, year-long learning experience focused on leadership skill development and facilitating leadership opportunities and networking within ARVO. The program started in 2016 and hosts 9-15 female participants and their mentors (men and women) each year. Eligible participants include early- to mid-career female scientists who are in a faculty/tenure-track (or equivalent) position for not more than 10 years and who have been ARVO members for at least three years at time of application.
