Prof. Pammi Pavan Kumar, Department of Telugu, School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been nominated as Member, Planning-cum-Monitoring Board (PMB) for the Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu (CESCT), works under the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL-Mysuru), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The PMB monitor and guide the implementation of various academic schemes and research activities of the Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu (CESCT). The PMB identifies core areas of research, and distinguished scholars working on classical Telugu situated in the states and UTs of India, and engage them in research activities of the CESCT. The PMB extends its support to the CESCT in engaging young scholars working on various research themes of Telugu.

Prof. Pavan Kumar will serve as Member, Planning-cum-Monitoring Board of CESCT for a period of three years.
