Prof. Prakash C Sarangi, faculty in the Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) presented a paper on “Globalisation, Nation-State and Democratic Theory” at the 25th World Congress of International Political Science Association, held at Brisbane, Australia. This is being organized by the International Political Science Association (IPSA) at the renowned Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Brisbane from July 21 to 25, 2018. The Congress brings together around 2,500 political scientists and scholars from over 85 countries around the theme: “Borders and Margins”.

The 2018 IPSA World Congress provides an opportunity for international scholars to network with local and regional scholars since the Australian Political Studies Association (AusPSA) and the Oceanic Conference on International Studies (OCIS) will hold their conferences especially in conjunction with the IPSA World Congress.

Prof. Sarangi has a Ph.D. from University of Rochester, (USA) and his areas of interest include Political Theory, Comparative Politics, Democratic Theory and Practice.
