Prof. Vinod Pavarala, Senior Professor of Communication and UNESCO Chair on Community Media, University of Hyderabad, has been appointed as a Co-Principal Editor of the Journal of Alternative and Community Media (JOACM).
A prestigious publication for the field of alternative and community media, JOACM is a Q2 journal that is SCOPUS indexed and published by Intellect publishers. Prof. Pavarala joins Prof. Susan Forde of Griffith University, Australia and Prof. Claudia Magallanes-Blanco of the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, Mexico as the principal editorial team for the journal. Since its inception in 2016, the publication has been considered the official journal of the Community Communication and Alternative Media (CCAM) Section of the International Association for Media & Communication Research (IAMCR), of which Prof. Pavarala is currently the elected Chair for a second term of four years.
