Prof. Y Narasimhulu, Director of the UGC-Academic Staff College in University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Rayalaseema University situated in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The University which was established in 1998 has more than 100 affiliated colleges in the region now.
Prof. Narasimhulu has joined as the third Vice-Chancellor of this University for a period of three years.
Prof. Narasimhulu was the Registrar of University of Hyderabad (UoH) from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that he was associated with JNTU (H) as faculty of Mathematics for twelve years and also served as Deputy-Secretary in the University Grants Commission (UGC). Born in Chittoor district, he had his education right from under-graduate degree to PhD in Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi.
