Ms Ruma Kumari, a Ph.D. scholar at the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad has been invited to participate in the Bergen Summer Research School 2018 on “Global Challenges” held at University of Bergen, Norway from 11th to 21st June 2018.
The Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) on Global Development Challenges is an educational initiative offering annual interdisciplinary doctoral courses on themes related to global challenges to PhD students from all over the world.
It is organised by the University of Bergen (UiB), in collaboration with the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI), the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and Uni Research. She has been offered fully funded scholarship to attend the course on ‘Food and Nutrition Insecurity as global major Challenge’.
Ruma Kumari is also invited to present a paper Titled ‘The Gender Inequality and Food Insecurity of Women in India: A study of Rural Bihar’. Currently, she is working under Prof G Omkar Nath at the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad.
