Mr. Shiva Ram Male, Research Scholar at the School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been selected for the International Colour Vision Society (ICVS) Summer School – 2020, organized by International colour vision society at Pembroke College, Oxford, UK from 2nd to 7th August, 2020.

Shiva Ram is the only Research Scholar selected for ICVS- 2020 Summer School from India this year. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Optometry & Vision Sciences under supervision of Dr. Rishi Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor (Head-Visual Psychophysics research & Innovation lab), School of Medical Sciences, and Prof. Chakravarthy Bhagvati, Dean, School of Computer Information Sciences, UoH.
ICVS is a prestigious summer school organised biennially since 1997, with international group of physiologists, physicists, geneticists, optometrists, ophthalmologists and visual scientists who have a research interest in the many aspects of colour vision and colour vision deficiencies. Due do Covid-19 pandemic, it has shifted to virtual summer school.
The aim of this summer school is to interact, share knowledge and work toward development on the concept of colour. He will be mentored in conducting the phenomenological study on How Emotions and Colours connected to our daily life by this eminent group.
