Shubhashree Patel, Department of Sanskrit Studies, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been awarded centrally administered full-term Doctoral Fellowship in the year 2022-23 by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). She is working on her doctoral thesis – A critical study of the Tantrayukti Method and its application in Modern Research Methodology under the supervision of Dr. J. S. R. Prasad, Professor and Head, Department of Sanskrit Studies, UoH.

Shubhashree Patel

Her research is primarily based on the Ancient Research Methodology as available in a scattered form in Sanskrit texts. She is the Second in the Department to be awarded with this Fellowship. Shubhashree Patel hails from Jharsuguda (Dist.), Odisha. She started her Sanskrit study from Graduation at the Government College, Sundergarh and did her B.A. in Sanskrit (Honours). Later, in the year 2019, she obtained Masters in Sanskrit from Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur, Chattisgarh, with a Gold Medal.

Shubhashree Patel writes poem in Odia and received Kabi Pratibha Puraskar from Odisha Pratibhapuja Sahitya Sansad, Cuttak. Her poems have been published in Samaleswari Sahitya Sansad (Kolabira), Magazine.
