Sneha Sasikumar, Research Scholar, Department of Dance, S N School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad has got the opportunity to represent the Indian Classical Dance Traditions at Hanoi, Vietnam. “I am extremely happy to introduce the core of Kuchipudi through performance and demonstration at the Vietnam Dance College organised organized by the Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism, Socialist Republic of Vietnam in association with the Embassy Of India, Hanoi, Vietnam.”, says Sneha.
Sneha Sasikumar is an acclaimed Kuchipudi danseuse and research scholar (Junior Research Fellow JRF-UGC) at the University of Hyderabad. She is an associate member of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA), an empanelled artiste of SPICMACAY, graded artist of Doordarshan broadcasting media, member of World Dance Council at the UNESCO. She has performed Kuchipudi dance performances on many stages across India and abroad. Her acclaimed international performances include the one before the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Dubai and at Myanmar before the Nobel Prize winner Ms. Aung San Su Kyi.
Sneha is researching on Efficacy of Therapy through Kuchipudi on patients suffering from anxiety and depression disorders under the supervision of Prof. Aruna Bhikshu, Head, Department of Dance.
