Soumen Nayak, currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Dr. Soma Sanyal, Associate Professor at the School of Physics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) presented a paper titled “Evolution of magnetic fields in cosmic string wakes” at the “PPC 2023: XVI International Conference on Interactions between Particle Physics and Cosmology,” hosted by the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), Daejeon, Korea.
The conference was organized during June 12 to 16, 2023 and brought together leading experts in Particle Physics, Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics for interdisciplinary discussions and collaborations.
This topic explores the generation, evolution, and signatures of the magnetic field in the wake of cosmic string in the early universe. This topic provides valuable insights into the dynamics of the early universe and predicts important phenomena like shock collisions and magnetic reconnection.
The conference provided Soumen Nayak with the opportunity to engage with renowned experts and researchers who shared similar research interests. “Engaging in conversations, exchanging ideas, and establishing new connections enriched my professional network and opened doors for potential collaborations and future research opportunities in the fields of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics”, says Soumen.
He further adds, “The conference served as a source of inspiration and motivation for me. The experiences gained from this conference will undoubtedly continue to shape my academic and professional trajectory”.
Soumen acknowledges the financial support for research from CSIR-HRDG, Government of India and also thanks the Institution of Eminence (IoE) at UoH for supporting him with a travel grant to attend the conference.
