Mr. Sumit Jadhav, a PhD scholar at the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies (CALTS), University of Hyderabad, presented his paper titled, “Investigating the Material Clause in Hindi: A Point of Departure for Describing the Grammar of Experience through Systemic Functional Linguistic Theory” at the Martin Centre for Appliable Linguistics, School of Foreign Languages, Shanghai Jiao Tong University—an institution ranked 45th among the world top universities. The event took place from November 5 to 10, 2024.

Matthiessen and J.R. Martin.
