An eight member delegation from Taiwan is in Hyderabad as part of the Taiwan Higher Education Exposition (THEE) during 24- 25 September 2018 in Hyderabad. This delegation visited the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on 25th September 2018.
19 High Ranked Institutes from Taiwan are attending the THEE which is an excellent meeting point for students in India to learn more about the high quality and excellency of Taiwan higher education.
Prof. Yao, Leehter, Political Deputy Minister of Education led the delegation that interacted with Prof. Panchanan Mohanty, in-charge Vice-Chancellor at the UoH. The other members included Mr. Peters Chen, Section Chief, Department of International and Cross-strait Education; Prof. Wang, Wei-Chung, Senior Advisor for Global Affairs, Office of the President, National Tsing Hua University; Prof. Chen, Cheng-Yuan, President of I-Shou University; Prof. Kuo, Yen-Kuang, President of National Changhua University of Education; Prof. Henry Chen, Director of Science Division, Taiwan Embassy; Ms. Ellie Chiang, Secretary of Science Division, Taiwan Embassy; and Ms. Yita Chen, Taiwan Embassy in New Delhi.
Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan) plays an important role in promoting bilateral education exchange between India and Taiwan and this delegation held talks with the representatives of UoH on various areas of mutual cooperation. Prof. N Siva Kumar, Director-International Affairs also participated.
