A new technology club on campus, ‘Technoclub UoH’ under the Center for Advanced Studies in Electronic Sciences (CASEST) marked a new beginning with its inaugural session on 24th February 2024 at the Seminar Hall, CASEST (School of Physics Annex), University of Hyderabad (UoH).


Prof. M Ghanashyam Krishna, Head of CASEST and Director of IoE presided over the function and presented the inaugural address. Emeritus Professor Dr. Guruswamy Rajaram took the initiative to be the mentor and guide of the new club. Prof. K.C. James Raju, Dean School of Physics and Prof. Samrat L Sabat, faculty member of CASEST and Director of Research and Development Cell addressed the audience. Students from diverse disciplines were present for the event.

A unique initiative of the IMSc students of the University under the mentorship of Prof. G. Rajaram, Technoclub UoH will serve as a new platform for students to pursue hobbies in technology, collaborate over group projects and acquire technical skills in electronics and related areas. Summer internships being a mandate for undergraduates as per the new National Education Policy, Technoclub will also serve as a medium for CASEST to provide internship projects to undergraduate students to complete their credit requirements.  An announcement in this context will be made shortly.
