A seminar titled “Telugu Kavya Shastram – Parichayam” (An introduction to Telugu Poetics) was organized on 10 April, 2016 at the College for Integrated Studies, University of Hyderabad. This seminar was organised by Dr. Mallegoda Ganga Prasad, Guest Faculty from the Department of Telugu, University of Hyderabad.
Integrated six semester students presented twenty papers on various topics like DINESH – KAVYASASTRA PRAYOJANALU – ADYAYANA AVASHAKATHA, PURUSHOTHAM – RETULU PAKAMULU- VISLESHANA, VENKATESH – DWANI SIDDANTAM, BHAGYASRI – KAVYA SWARUPA SWABHAVALU PRAYOJANALU, JAGARAM – KAVYA NYIKALA PARICHAYAM, NASREEN – VIBHAVADULA PARICHAYAM, NUSRAT BANU – NAVARASALU CHARCHA etc. Sixty students participated in this seminar.
The objective of this seminar was to make the students aware of the importance of learning ancient Telugu criticism in addition to using it as a platform to learn valuable inputs on conduct of seminar, presenting a paper in the seminar and avoiding stage fear.
