The Department of Education and Education Technology (DoEET), University of Hyderabad (UoH) in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi and the Department of Education, Kakatiya University, Warangal organized a one-day workshop on “The Impact of Digitalization on Socio-Economic conditions in Telangana: A Critical survey of selected Areas” on February 20, 2024.
In this regard, the Vice-Chancellor, Kakatiya University, Prof. T. Ramesh, expressed that “Highlighting the issues we face when accessing technology, and ensuring public awareness of these issues, should be an important role of the government” and also “Evolution cannot be stopped but it is in our hands that how far we can use it for human development”. He also mentioned about the Anthropologist, Malinowski who has started the field work tradition to collect the accurate data rather than arm chair researchers.
In the Valedictory, Prof. Malla Reddy said about the negative impacts of Digitalization and also advised the need of digital education.
Dr. Ravula Krishnaiah, Assistant Professor, DEET & ICSSR Project Director expressed his thanks to the University of Hyderabad, Kakatiya University, ICSSR New Delhi and the volunteers of the workshop for their support and collaboration. Prof. JV Madhusudan, Head, DoEET was also present on this occasion. As part of the Workshop more than 200 members were attended.
