– Vasudev Ravi, 134 rank in Indian Civil Services Exam 2012

The interdisciplinary approach to the Integrated Program at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has helped me in my success says Vasudev Ravi who has secured 134 rank in the Indian Civil Services Exam 2012. Vasudev who joined the first batch of the Integrated programme of Economics at UoH in 2006 passed out in 2011 and has been preparing hard for the Civils Exam. A native of Trichur in Kerala, Vasudev adds that the freedom which the curriculum allowed has helped him a lot in the examination for the civil services.

The Civil Services is a platform which will in many ways help in contributing to the progress of our great nation. The Civil Services provides one the opportunity to work on various issues like health, education etc. and also help in contributing towards the social sector development of our nation. The idea is to be a Public Servant as part of the Civil Services of India, said Vasudev.

Over the years Vasudev has been an avid traveler and through his association with the UoH sub-chapter of SPIC MACAY he has been able to cultivate a keen interest in Indian Classical music, dance and other art forms.
