Noted writer and activist lectures at UoH
The Centre for Dalit and Adivasi Studies and Translation, School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH) organized a Lecture on “Tribal Literature with Special Reference to Jharkhand” by Sri Vinod Kumar (Writer & Activist based in Jharkhand) at UoH on 11th September 2013.
Vinod Kumar shared his experience as a writer and activist based in Jharkhand with the students and faculty of the University. In his lecture, he explained how adivasi’s make use of nature for their livelihood. He also elaborated on the current problems of Tribals and Adivasi’s. He said that understanding and finding solution to the problems of Tribals and Adivasis will help them to prosper.
Vinod Kumar’s latest novel Samar Sesh Hai aptly depicts the battle between moneylenders and tribals in Santhal Pargana region. He is presently working on a book titled RED ZONE.
