Internship Day is an annual event on which leading educational institutions are recognized for their exceptional internship placements and for fostering a commendable internship environment. The University of Hyderabad stood first in South Zone in the Zonal rankings in Internship Day 2023. The rank is given based on the number of internship selections, and University of Hyderabad emerged as a winner in South India based on a maximum number of internships selected.
The award was received by Professor Salman Abdul Moiz, Prof-in-Charge & Chairman, Placement Guidance and Advisory Bureau (PGAB) of the University. Internshala appreciated the efforts of the Chairman PGAB and his team in helping students secure internships. PGAB has consistently made all efforts under the University Relations Program for Student Internships to submit the data of all students to Internshala. More than 1100 internships were offered through the Internshala University relations program in the last 5 years. PGAB also makes efforts to provide internships with other companies along with job offers.
Ms. Honey Pamnani, DGM of Strategic Partnership National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was the Chief Guest of the Internship Day event held on 25th August 2023. It was announced that soon the internships secured through Internshala will have credits allotted.
Prof B.J. Rao, Vice-Chancellor, expressing his pleasure at the Internship Award-2023, said, “creating a vibrant internship culture in UoH is a priority, because it can positively influence the job and training opportunities for our students. I congratulate Prof Salman Abdul Moiz, the Internship Coordinator and the PGAB team for their efforts, and look forward to greater participation by students in the program.”
