Raj Kandukuri and BiGBen Cinemas in association with Vinoothna Geetha present Pellichoopulu, a Telugu romantic comedy about two individuals Prashanth and Chitra who meet at a ‘Pellichoopulu’.
The story is about a modern day couple anchored down by their traditional roots. When fate plays havoc in their lives, they set off on a journey to find their dreams, face their fears and ultimately find true love.
Three alumni of the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad (2009-11) have worked on this film, Pranith Maddirala as an Assistant Director, Tanvi Desai handled the PR / Promotions and Priyadarshi Pulikonda plays Kaushik, a substantial role in the film.
Written and Directed by Tharun Bhascker of Anukokunda and Sainma fame, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda as Prashant and Ritu Varma as Chitra. Additionally, it also features Nandu, Anish Kuruvilla, Kedar Shanker, Gururaj Manepalli, Padmaja Lanka, EL Sujatha, Priyadarshi Pulikonda and Abhay Bethiganti.
The film was shot in sync sound and is probably the first in contemporary Telugu cinema to do so. Sound by Varun Venugopal and Sanjay Das Tapeloop. Music by Vivek Sagar has become a chart-buster. Cinematography by Nagesh Banell. Edited by Raviteja Girijala. Executive Producer Ranjith Kumar.
