School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad (UoH) was ranked 45th in the country by Careers360, a renowned educational magazine of the Outlook group. It conducted a nation-wide survey of over 3000 B-schools as part of its annual exercise to rank and rate management institutions based on seven crucial parameters that include research, alumni, placement student and faculty quality among others. From close to 3300 institutes that offer a postgraduate programme in management domain, the first exercise was carried out to shortlist 500 institutes.
Prof. B. Raja Shekhar, Dean of the School said that the ranking was based on critical parameters such as students and faculty; infrastructure including residential facilities; accreditation; placements; fee, admission test score cut-off.
School of Management Studies at University of Hyderabad offers MBA, a specialized MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Management and a Ph.D. program in management studies. The placement season at the School also started on a positive note this year with 6 students already placed at Tata Consultancy Services, and 4 students placed at Deloitte in the third semester itself at a pay package ranging from 5.35 lakhs to 6.4 lakhs per annum. Many companies are in the pipeline indicating a vibrant placement season.
The admission process for MBA at School of Management Studies for the academic year 2016-17 has already commenced with the School releasing the admission notification. Applicants should appear in CAT-2015, conducted by the IIMs on 29th Nov, 2015. CAT 2015 scores will be used for short listing the candidates for group discussion/interview.
