The School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been recognised for their overall achievements. The School has been conferred the *Innovative B-School Leadership Award by the Stars of the Industry and DNA group.* The award recognizes Innovation as a key competence which helps Business Schools gain a competitive edge.
The award has been given in recognition of leadership, development, innovation and industry interface of the School of Management Studies of UoH. The award will be presented on 17th February 2014 at Mumbai.
The School has also been awarded the *Outstanding B-School award(South) by the Lokmat group*. This award which is scheduled to be given on 13th February 2014 recognises institutions that are innovative, modern and industry related in their curriculum in Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Communications, Engineering & Technology etc. The Management School at UoH has received this award in recognition of leadership, development, marketing an institute and industry interface of the B-School.
The School of Management Studies (SMS) at UoH was started in May, 1999. It offers an AICTE approved two-year full-time residential MBA Programme(based on CAT percentile), and a Ph.D. programme in Management Studies. It promotes faculty and doctoral research, consultancy, training, and outreach activities in various manufacturing, corporate, infrastructural, services and developmental sectors. It also offers a two year MBA Health Care and Hospital Management course.
