Mr. Venkatesh Pandiri, Ph.D Scholar at School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS), University of Hyderabad (UoH) will be joining a postdoctoral position at the French Institute of Science and Technology for the Transportation, Planning and Networks (IFSTTAR), Lille, France. Recently, he submitted his Ph.D thesis entitled “Heuristics for Variants of Traveling Salesman Problem” in SCIS under the supervision of Prof. Alok Singh. Prior to this, Venkatesh obtained his M.Tech. degree in Computer Science in 2013 also from SCIS.
Mr. Venkatesh’s post-doctoral research at IFSTTAR will focus on hybrid optimization in logistics which is a first strategic objective of the ELSAT project (Ecomobility, Logistics, Safety and Adaptability in Transport) funded by the European Union with European Regional Development Fund, French government and the State of Hauts-de-France. He will join from 1st June, 2019.
