Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning (CDVL) at University of Hyderabad (UoH) and Truth Labs, Hyderabad have jointly organized valedictory session of the two-day national workshop on ‘Forensic Examination of Questioned Documents and Disputed Fingerprints’ on 15th of June 2014, at DST Auditorium on the UoH campus at Gachibowli.

In the presidential address, Prof. E. Hari Babu Pro Vice-chancellor, UoH, wished the Forensic Science fraternity to play a major role in reducing the civil disputes and criminal rate in the society. He cautioned that the threats to personal and national security are increasing, along with knowledge growth. We all must be informed about the Knowledge updates in the Forensic science to ensure that no injustice is done to the common man, he added.

Prof. E. Hari Babu is hopeful to continue to organize such workshops in the University and he invited the delegates to participate frequently in them.

In the introductory remarks, Prof. S. Jeelani, Director, CDVL, UoH, said that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended permission to CDVL at University of Hyderabad to offer all the existing 17 PG Diploma courses for the 2014-15.

Dr. Gandhi, Chairman, Truth Labs, is delivered the key note address on this occasion and explained about the initiatives and objectives of Truth Labs. Prof. K. Ramakrishnan thanked the gathering for making this workshop, a grand success.
