Internationally renowned Neuroendoscopy mastery course titled “Neuroendoscopy Mastery: From Basics to Clinical Practice” was organized on 20th to 22nd January 2024 in the School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad and KIMS Hospital. This course includes an intensive hands-on experience from basic techniques to advanced procedures specifically designed to help young neurosurgeons incorporate Neuroendoscopy in their daily clinical practice. This course is jointly organized by Krishna institute of Medical Sciences and University of Hyderabad and supported by the Brain and Spine Society and educational partners are AESCULAP ACADEMY and SUN Pharma. The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. B. Jagadeeshwar Rao Vice Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, and Dr. Bhaskar Rao Bollineni, Founder-Managing Director, KIMS group of Hospitals among other invited dignitaries at 10.00 AM IST today (20th January 2024). The workshop is organized by Dr. Manas Panigrahi, Professor and Head, Department of Neurosurgery, KIMS Hospitals and Prof. P. Prakash Babu, Director, MMTTC (HRDC), University of Hyderabad, as Co-conveners.
The inaugural function started with the welcome of Dignitaries by presenting beautiful bouquets and calling them onto the Dias. Prof. B. J. Rao (VC, University of Hyderabad), Dr. Bhaskar Rao Bollineni (Founding Director, KIMS Hospitals), Dr. KVR Shastry (Retd. Professor and Head, Department of Neurosurgery, NIMHANS, Bangalore), Dr. Manas Panigrahi (Prof. and Head, Department of Neurosurgery, KIMS Hyderabad), Prof. Anand Kumar Kondapi (Dean, School of Life Sciences) and Prof. P. Prakash Babu (Director, HRDC, University of Hyderabad) were invited as dignitaries for the occasion. Following this, to signify the victory of knowledge over ignorance, traditional lighting of lamp was done by the dignitaries.
After the lighting of lamp, Prof. P. Prakash Babu welcomed the dignitaries, demonstrators, participants and the speakers of the workshop in his welcome address. Following the welcome address, an overview of the training program was provided by Dr. Manas Panigrahi who gave insights into the details of the program to the delegates.
This was followed by felicitation of dignitaries by our honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof B.J.Rao who felicitated the Guest of Honor Dr. Bhaskar Rao and Dr. KVR Shastry with Shawl and potted plants. Honourable VC, Prof. B J Rao was also felicitated by Dr. Manas Panigrahi by presenting shawl and a plant. All the dignitaries and Japanese delegates Dr. Morata and Dr. K. Takeuchi were also felicitated duly.
Following this, Professor Anand Kumar Kondapi presented a brief introduction of the School of Life Sciences with his insights into its essence and accomplishments. This was followed by an insightful address by Dr. KVR Shastry. Proceeding further, the Guest of Honour, Dr. Bhaskar Rao shared his thoughts with the audience. After this, the chief guest for the day, Prof. B. J. Rao addressed the audience and presented his thoughts on the relevance of this Mastery Course. Finally, a Vote of Thanks was presented by Prof. Kota Arun Kumar, Faculty, Department of Animal Sciences, University of Hyderabad.
Vote of thanks was followed by playing national Anthem in the auditorium to celebrate our love and respect for our Nation. Young neurosurgeons from different parts of the country have been participating in the workshop.
