UoH Scholar to participate in Newton Fund International Workshop

Fahad. K, PhD Scholar under the supervision of Prof. Sanjay Subodh in the Department of History, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been selected for Newton Fund to participate in an International workshop on Cultural Heritage, Migration and Indian Diaspora. The workshop is fully sponsored by AHRC (UK) and ICHR (New Delhi).

A key aim of this workshop is to enable researchers from the UK and India to reflect on the achievements of the AHRC/ICHR ‘Cultural Heritage and Rapid Urbanisation in India’ programme so far and to develop new partnerships with a view to longer collaboration. The workshop will take place over 2 days in Ahmedabad, India from the 30th – 31st January 2019.

Fahad is one of the 20 participants form India as against the 20 of the UK delegates where he would engage on ‘tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage of Hyderabad’.
